After much research i am about to buy an ibook (12 in). I was wondering if i can play games like madden and nhl on it as well.
I am not sure if the graphics can handle it

I highly, highly doubt it. Ibooks aren't meant to play games.

If you want a mac that can play games, then the Powerbook (w/ 1.67GHz processor + upgraded vcard) would be your best bet. However, you can find a Windows Notebook w/ a better price and specs.

There are games you can play on the ibook when you about yo order hit continue shopping and you see some games for it. But go to ign.com and click mac if you wantt to see a list of good games for it and **** coming out. Post 2 stp and postal 2 aw run on my iBook better then they run on my dell (a p4 3.6ghz 1gb ram) My i book has 1.5gb ram and is they standard for for 14in i think 1.43 something b ut there are games for ibooks just look around.

The graphics for mac is not that good, yes, they have powerful processors and you can buy lots for ram, but the graphics is not that all good. And there are a few games you can play on mac, eg warcraft III and world of warcraft.

I asked a similar question in this forum about World of Warcraft and was told that graphic intensive games such as this didn't really play well on the iBook, even though it meets the minimum requirements listed on the WoW box. But Halo, apparently, is playable.
