Tomorrow im gonna buy a Macbook Pro 13 (Unibody), because my almost new Toshiba Qosmio x305-Q706 died the other saturday (with 1 month of live) and the technical center needs 3 weekends to replace my GPU. I need a good notebook in this days so i decided to buy another for my studies (and the old one is for my old brother). The case is that i thinked in a Macbook like i say before, but the only dudes that i have are this:
-First how is the quality from the new Macbooks Pro Unibody 13 (The one with an Intel P8400)
-It really lasts 7 hours the new battery from this model?
-Is possible to run RO (Aka. Ragnarok Online) without to install the whole Windows system to run a single game (Its the only game that i play in my free time).

From the theme relating to the Ragnarok, if i play in a private server with a Microsoft NetFramework 2.0 Based-Client there is a way to play it?

Sorry for the questions about that, i had months ago a old Macbook Pro (The First) which i lasted very little time so i know how to use mac osx but like this one is gonna be permanents (it has to survive 3 years at least) im very curious.

*Sorry for my bad grammar, i dont have a very good one (I speak spanish but i understand very good the english)

Yeah, RO requires DirectX 8, so you need Windows.

no... Ragnarok Online doesn't need Windows, it runs just fine using Crossover Games... but can be a bit more of a chore to get it to work... but you can read how others got it to work on its entry in Codeweavers database.

    http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=86

you could probably easily get it to work many other ways.

If you interested in gaming on OSX, check out the URL on my sig banner for the porting team. We are a group of hobbyist gamers that make unofficial ports and wrappers of Win-only games and other software to Macs, mainly using Wine and Cider. Hundreds of wrappers for games have already been made you can download and put your games into to run.

About the RO, im gonna try but if i cant get it work i can continue playing it in my netbook (right now i do the homeworks in it, but is slow..)

About the battery from the new unibody macbook it really survives 7 hours? And the quality how very good is? The Mac im gonna use it for Studies and Music Edit so the games i dont care too much

No. The typical battery life that I was getting was ~5.5 hours with fairly aggressive power saving engaged. Or to put it another way, about the same as an 18-month-old Sony SZ with a removable battery also in power saving mode. The comparatively average runtime in real life of the built-in batteries is why I always carry one of these when I have a Mac with me these days.

battery power depends on what your doing. If your working the machine harder it uses more power faster... they say it lasts "up to 7 hours" which means thats max... I have an older MBP that is "up to 5 hours" and I can barely pull 5 hours barely doing anything but looking at the web and typing up a document with screen brightness way down and keyboard light off.. not using an optical disc. If i try to play a game that pushes it really hard I'm lucky to get an hour.
