    Hi guys!

I finally got my Macbook after waiting for about 2 weeks. It is the 2 GHz, white version with Apple Care and a USB Modem. I got a few questions

First, where can I find a noob starters manual to OS X? I mean, I still haven't found out how do you maximize a window lol. Then, I was wondering what is the option key that you have to press to select the OS when bootcamp its installed. I don't want to start a OS to select the other one lol.

What about the right click? on Mac OS it is with the CTRL key pressed, but what about in windows? What about if you wanna do a CTRL-ALT-SUPR?

Oh and another thing, is there a msn messenger for Mac OS X which works? Because I've installed the 4.0 version and it tells me I need a newer one.

    Thanks in advance

    Ok.

First off there should be a manual that came with the computer, if not it will be located on the apple site, they have a section on the site entirely devoted to teaching people how to use the software.

Once you get bootcamp installed and running basically when you start the computer it should show you a list of the operating systems you have installed and to select which one you want to run. Remember Bootcamp is merely a boot loader (an area on the hard drive called MBR which contains the OS information).

Seeing how your obvisually someone who grown with the 2 button mouse, its probably best to get one to connect to it either a usb one or a bluetooth one. I'm not sure what the right click is on XP because I dont use XP on mac.

MSN and OS X do NOT PLAY NICE at all with each other, I mean come on the two companies are rivals. ;)

Maximizing a window is the same as windows xp, look in the upper right corner instead of the underscore, 2 boxes and the X box they use color buttons.

    1) a) the green ball in the top left corner.
    b) option = alt.

    2) What is SUPR? Anyway, right-clicking in Windows you would need an external mouse for. Any normal usb mouse will work.

    3) Try Adium, works fine for me.

Man! the option key is alt lol The manuals don't specify so.... well thanks for your anwers BTW SUPR is DEL key, arround Bloq Despl or so... u know, when windows hangs up you have to press those keys.

Anyway, I like OS X, it is really well built. It comes with a hell lot of software. Another question, is there a way to control the installed programs, or is it like a mess lol? I don't think I'm using half the programs so why use my hard disk space.

    Thanks

You can drag stuff to the trash bin from the Applications folder, but I wouldn't advice doing so with the stuff that came with the OS. Trial versions of iWork and Office I would trash immediately if I were were you however. Some of iLife might be useless to you also, Garageband takes up a lot of space for example so unless you want to make music (or podcasts), you could delete that.

And if you didn't know that Option = Alt, it might also help to know that Command = the Apple key :)
