    Hi,
I just have a few question about cleaning and taking care of the MBP (late 2008).
1.) First off my finger gets quite oily/sweaty? so my keys have my finger prints on it. How would I clean them off? Would just a clothe fine?

2.) How should I use my battery to maximize its lifespan? Should I go to a certain % and stop using, or use it all the way? When it's plugged in the wall will its capacity decrease? If it's plugged in all the time will it decrease as fast as using it without being plugged in?

    Thanks : )

Search in Apple support website for tips on conserving battery life, if you have UPS and is plugged in for a long time at home....you could take off the battery and preserve it at around 50% at cool dry place (not too cool)......charging is optimal at 10-20%....and partial charging is better......before u do a full charge for calibration every 30 cycles.

In terms of keeping your MacBook Pro clean, you could run a cloth through a little bit of hot water and wring it out so that it is practically dry and then wipe the keys off with it. Or, you can pick up the iKlear Apple Polish kit which comes with a special solution and three cleaning clothes (microfiber and an optical cleaning cloth, the same grade used for cameras), I can vouch for it and it works quite well.
