    If I get the 2x1gb g.skill pc-5300 for the macbook, would it run at 667mhz? or 553?

    Make sure you type PC2-5300 not PC-5300 because there is a difference between the two.

    PC2-5300 (which the MB and MBP use) is 667Mhz. Its been confirmed to run at that speed by many reviewers and myself.

    Also, try asking all your memory questions in one memory related thread to avoid a bunch of new threads and make it easier.
