Ok , so 14 seconds to load OS X and 58 seconds to load windows on bootcamp on the new macbook pro retina.
excuse my harsh words, but ?

Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
its normal. I think its due to the virtualization of the bios, dont hold me to that btw.
in win 8 it takes around 40s -
sight
my friend has a macbook air 2011 and it takes windows bootcamp about 20 seconds to load ?
isnt it weird ? -

Wrong, it's neither. Windows 7 and 8 support EFI, which means there is no BIOS virtualization. As for an artificial pause, I've seen my brother's cMBP boot up much faster with a standard HDD. I suspect something else entirely is at work.

Mine takes 30-32 seconds to the Win7 desktop and another 8-10 seconds to get the WIFI fully operational. It's not like Apple really wants this to be fast.

A slow windows bootup could also have to do with which windows services are setup to auto start, isn't that true? For example, I have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed and using SQL Server Reporting services. At windows bootup about 7 SQL Server services auto start which makes my bootups times horrendous compared to if I disable or delete those services. So it is relative to your setup, correct? So naturally my windows bootcamp startup will be much slower than my OS X bootup.
A race of bootup times doesn't really mean a whole lot when comparing different operating systems. My friend at work like to tell people that his linux machine with raid SSD boots in just seconds.
What matters is how productive you are in the envrionments. Yes, it is nice to have quick bootups so you can get busy right away. But two totally different operating systems are of course going to be doing totally different things at startup. You can't expect them to be similar bootup times even when running from same machine. -

Sleep/hibernate/resume is really important to a lot of people. Close the lid and run to the next meeting. Open the lid and instantly start typing notes or whatever.
Regarding Windows 8, I'll be testing that this time next week. -
Am using this soft to manage booting ..
Haven't tried all stuff but am getting closer
You can re-dig whole boot loader ..

you know what the real problem is?
people NOT measuring boot times in the same way.
for instance,
do you stop when you see the login screen?
do you factor in the time it takes for you to type in a password? how do you account for people having different typing speeds? how about different password speeds?
what programs do you run at startup? do you actually believe everyone else is running your setup?
for clarity, I'm not serious about testing standards being the issue here; just making a point.
but ya...for me, a fresh install of both OSes was only 10s difference on an SSD. -
after fresh install , when i load my windows , i have for 45 seconds an underscore mark blinking on the top left corner of my screen... and then i see windows starting to boot for another 13 seconds.
what do u make of it ? -
dont worry plenty people done this
here is solution !! :
[MOD EDIT]: You're going to love this revised, legitimate solution. Google. Or the best of the best: purchase a legitimate copy of Windows. -
Just wanted to let you guys know that this has nothing to do with running a pirate version or a hardware problem as my windows 7 ultimate is an original copy...
After some hard work research, this is what I solved to fix the problem that so many have regardless if its a pirate or original version of windws 7..
my windows now boots just like the OS x mountain lion does in about 10 seconds or so...
amazing tip to all thoes who are expriencing similar problems..
