    Hi y'all,

I have an Aluminium Unibody Macbook, and was wondering about this 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMM available from Amazon.com, for around US$150. Its available via International Shipping (through one of the vendors), thats why I'm interested in it, as here in Australia we're receiving replies saying that 4GB DDR2 SO-DIMMs do not exist, let alone DDR3 Notebook RAM.

Has anyone had experience with Buffalo RAM? It is 1333MHz, I plan to get 1x 4GB Stick, (was hoping for 2, but it seems like only 6GB is supported anyway).

The Link to the Amazon Product is here,

That is a 2x2GB total 4GB kit, not a single 4GB SO-DIMM. Currently 4GB SO-DIMMS cost about 500 bucks each... DDR2 4gb sticks are a much more reasonable (sarcasm intended) 300 bucks each or so...

Yeah they've been slowly edging their way down but it'll be a good while before the price is anything near reasonable. They came on market around 1500 bucks but I've seen a few kits as low as 800 and change.

Remember that the new Unibodies don't support 1333MHz RAM. The DDR3 clock of the memory the computers ship with is 1067MHz.

I don't know if the RAM can throttle down...
