Unless your macbook pro has a way of TV-IN, then I don't think it's possible.

Ya you would need to get a TV tuner card and hook it up that way. I think that should work.

Yep, what cashmonee said. I have a friend who had that kinda setup a while ago until he got a TV.

TV tuners aren't great for use with game consoles b/c there is usually a small delay (ie: what is on the screen is about 1 sec behind what the console is outputting). This makes gameplay virtually impossible. Not to mention, your taking your HD capable game console and using it @ 480i.

Your best bet is to get a TV or use a regular computer monitor and get the 360 VGA cable.

Also, as a college grad...my advice to you would be to get a friggin TV (any TV). My freshman roommate and I thought it would be a good idea to keep us out of the dorm room to help make more friends, but in reality its a bonehead idea. Thank god I came to my senses before moving in and I brought my set with me.

Get a big TV(I believe that 27 inch LCD TV for 500 bucks only) that way you can have a lot of fun with xbox. 17 inch is too small to play xbox on it.

You might want to think of getting a decent 19" or 21" tv. Playing through a tv tuner will give you really poor quality.

Not to mention, you can get some decent 19" lcd's for probably less than double what a decent tv tuner costs.

Also note that it will allow you to use extended or mirrored display with your MBP.
