Is the 2GB Ram limit on White 2006 Macbooks a limit imposed by the older OSX tiger? Or is it a Hardware limit of the system? IE if i upgraded it to Snow leopard could it address more memory? Or is it a limitation of the ability of the motherboard?

Which model is it? 1,1 or 2,1? If its the 1,1 then I think the hardware is going to limit you to 2GB.

2GB should be the limit on that one then, based upon the hardware. Check over on ifixit.com or macsales.com to be sure
