Maybe a stupid question.
Is there any performance difference between the 250 Gb 7200rpm and 320 Gb 7200rpm HD in MBP?
Because upgrading the 250Gb to 320Gb cost 100$ more. And I dont think 70Gb worth 100$.

No there isn't. Actually 250GB is slightly faster because it only uses the fastest half of the second platter. I've seen this confirmed by HD Tune results of the Seagate 7200.3 250GB vs. 320GB.

I disagree. If both drives use the same number of platters, the larger drive will be faster because of the density of the disk. So it really depends on WHICH drives we're talking about here.
