So I have 2011 15" Macbook pro with thunderbolt. Everything I've read has said you can use thunderbolt > display port monitor. I've also been reading a lot of people have been having problems with this connection. IE: Displayport (monitor) to miniDisplayPort (macbook).

Some of the solutions have been simply to buy a MDP to DP adapter; then run a DP to DP from adapter to monitor.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried any of these setups yet...and what configuration (if any) has worked properly.

Side note: I'll be using the HP ZR24W monitor when it gets here...doesn't ship for a little while so I figured I'd poke around a bit before I buy the cables.
