Is there any indication at all of what the next MBA's resolution will be? If I start streaming more movies like I've been considering, it will become an increasingly tempting option as the biggest advantage the X220 has over it is support for dual drives. I played with a friend's current MBA recently and that touchpad is pretty good, good enough that I may not miss the trackpoint.

Any information floating around about a possible 2011 MBA refresh/update is based solely on rumor and/or speculation. Nothing is truly known about any Apple product until Apple officially announces it. Right now, I haven't come across rumors or speculation regarding display resolution of a possible 2011 MBA update/refresh.

I'd expect the resolution options to be identical to the current models. Apple doesn't change that very often.

Again, nothing is known until Apple officially announces it. There isn't an expected release date for a possible refreshed MBA series. Notice that I keep saying "possible" refresh as we really don't know anything. Rumors have been sprouting up but nothing is ever concrete until the information officially comes out from Apple. Right now the rumor is that a refreshed MBA series will be released the same day as OS X Lion. That rumor kind of died when it changed to say that OS X Lion, and only the OS, was going to be released on the 14th. That never happened so the rumor has come back up to the surface again.

Either way, there isn't any solid "expected" information as it is all rumor and speculation at this point and one of the rumors was already proven false.
