That´s it, as simple as that, which would perform better?
Oh, and how much does the memory cost at bestbuy? I don´t know which memory it uses, so, that´s why I don´t look for it in bestbuy.com

    1.83GHz w/ 2GB RAM will outperform 2.0GHz w/ 1GB RAM by quite a lot.

You are better off buying memory from www.newegg.com

The memory specs for the Macbook are DDR2-5300, 667Mhz. SODIMM sticks of course.

Does it consume more battery? With 2GB i mean.

    No it won't. And I agree 1.83GHz with 2GB > 2.0 with 1GB.

Not quite true. 2GB RAM is a lot faster if you need that much memory. If you don't use more than 1GB (And I dont mean having 1GB reserved in Windows, I mean having 1GB actively used all at the same time), then it makes zero difference.

And having more RAM does consume more power. It's usually not a big deal though, and you might save the same because it reduces HDD load.

The only reason to go with the 2Ghz would be because of the superdrive. But if you don't plan on burning DVDs(if you need to sometime down the road you can always buy an external DVD burner), go with the 1.83GHz.

if the superdrive was a dual layer burner, then it would be worth it. I would say buy the base model, then upgrade the ram and hard drive yourself, and buy an external dvd burner if you really need one. You will save a bunch of money doing it that and end up with a better burner.

Actually, it will consume more battery power, but its nothing big that you're going to notice a huge difference, each component has x number of voltage usage, and to say that another individual component won't makes it sound like a wonder machine, even know it is. ;)

Easy to upgrade RAM than CPU later

What about the processor? Much difference between both, with the same memory?

The difference in speed is pretty much just marginal, most people choose 2.0Ghz just because it has DVD burner even if they don't need the extra speed is always nice.

You'll really only notice differences under programs that are CPU intensive.
