The new 17 inch MBP is now out in the apple website. I'm just wondering if apple still has the heat problem on the 17 inch MBP. The starting price for the 17 inch model will be $2799.

On web site but not in stores until "first week of may."
Dual Layer DVD burner and FW 800 are back.
Any word on underclocking of gpu and heat issues?

Spent about 30s looking at the 17" MacBookPro @ NAB today. Had FinalCut Pro running on it and had been going for at least 5 hours today. Was warm by the screen, but not anywhere as hot as a MBP 15" I'd looked at recently. Don't have time to look at it extensively, but it's a nice looking machine.
