never had that problem. ppl who had received replacement.

there shouldn't be any problems with it if you wanna buy a new one.

beware: your sis won't be able to look at regular 1920x1080 screens after her first retina experience ;)

    So i read.
I also read countless posts about image retention.
That's a huge deal braker. I have no way of finding out if Apple worked out the problems with the LG screen IR.

I have a source from LG, that tells me that the engineers at korea are trying to solve the problem, currently she tells me that all IPS panels from LG are affected, so this is very problematic

burn in and image retention is NOT the same thing... burn in would be permanent.

I haven't heard many with the issue, it seems pretty rare. Most people's including mine, have always been fine.

It still is an issue based on all the info from Macrumors but like stuck pixels/Bleeding etc etc it is all luck of the draw.

Some people do not see image retention till a month or so later and thus your out of the box experience might change from perfect to i have it now.

The retina i had came perfect then 2 days later formed a big white blob of light on the right side of the screen and i never did anything with the machine other then move it around my place.

Still the nicest notebook i have ever used and would love to try it again if i ever work up the courage to deal with such issues.
