So it all comes down to those two choices. I love the look and the size of both portables. I have been told the 12"ibook has the same resolution as the 14", but that doesn't matter much to me, screen size does mean quite a bit to me. I'll get a student discount, but is the powerbook worth the money over the ibook? I love what the ibook has to offer in terms of battery life and $. I'll only be using it for accounting and watching dvd's, and occasionally garage band, and some video stuff. I just don't think I could get by with 2-3 hours of battery life, but I thought I'd like to ask you guys to weigh in on this one.
ps: I do know all of the speed advantages and such of the powerbook, but are those advantages worth $500 ?
