Hello,
I own a 24" ACD, the newer aluminum ones and already found a few converters to connectiing my PS3, 360, etc to my display. However, the native resolution of the screen is 1920 by 1200 pixels. Therefore requiring an EXPENSIVE HDMI upscaler since PS3 max output is only 1080p.
My question to you guys is, if I connect it without an upscaler what happens? Does it stretch to fit the screen? or does it just have a small portion of the screen black?

I'm not sure as I don't have one infront of me to test it, and every monitor scales differently.
But yea, it will either be stretched, or have black bars.
I used to use a converter to convert component to vga, and played 16:9 games on my 16:10 monitor, and the scaling isnt something you notice. Never had any problems with it. -
It depends what settings you have it on. You can stretch it, fit it, or 1:1. I recommended 1:1, even tho it will have black bars it will be sharper than stretching it as you will loose some vertical lines if you stretch it.
1080p on 24" ACD
