i read up about it, they fixed somthing that allowed some startup processes to stay on for prolonged ammounts of time, so instead of them staying open all the time now they close as they should, which im ahppy about :D

And yeah i saved about 800 mb or so aswell

I updated GarageBand and 10.5.8 at the same time - system restarted twice by itself, which made me nervous but maybe that was because of the double update.

After 2nd restart, everything is working.

Edit: on further reading online, it seems that double reboots are fairly common and not indicative of a specific problem or issue.

Broke my Multitouch hack on both my MBP and my MBA. Had to find the KEXT again to get it to work. Other than that seems fine.
