Ok I'm not going through hundreds of folders to always tell it to snap to grid and so far that's the way it looks like I have to to do it. Is there a way to have all folders snap to grid in icon mode?

    hi...
this is what you ought to do ....
go to any folder... control click on the empty space... and click on "show view options" ...
    a window will pop up...
fix the icon size as you want... the grid spacing... and in the "arrange by" drop down bar... select "snap to grid" ... and at the bottom of the window... click on the "use as default" button....
it should change all your folder options to how you want it to be..
