The reason I post in this thread seeking help is this, I've recently set up my wireless router (Linksys E2000) and everything in the house is running fine, except my M15x. For the first 5 days even the M15x was running smooth and at solid rates. Then suddenly I d/c'd from a LoL match, and my Skype dropped the call. The next day it seemed to work smooth again, but since it has never been up to speed, constant d/c's, LoL and WoW are not playable and the internet itself is very sluggish. Other laptops and gaming consoles in the house work perfectly fine. The M15x itself isn't slowed either.
My firmware is up to date, no stealth mode, and i'm certain I have the latest drivers for my Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN
Apologies for the sloppy relay of information, but any help is appreciated

Try removing the WPA protection from your router and see if that helps.. I now run my routers wifi totaly open but with mac adress filter and i have no random DC´s or any problems for that matter.
I have the 5300 AGN too. -
Thanks for the suggestion, tried it out, but didn't have an affect on my connection issues. I believe the issue is routed in my system itself, because I have messed with all setting of my router and it has no affect.

These intermittent problems are a real pain.

thanks for the information and tip, i reduced my graphic settings (WoW) and it went back up to the usual 60 frames. This leads me to believe its a graphics card issue, but a week ago there were still those constant D/C's present and my internet browser runs terribly slow. To sum it up, i'm now completely lost and would like to know if a factory reset would be an option
edit: just played for about an hour, frame rates were fixed with the lower settings, still getting d/c'd -
Go to Network and Security Center and choose your wireless adapter in Home Network or Work Network...and NOT in public network. This fixed the issue for me. And one more thing, Overwrite your WiFi adapter drivers with ones from the Dell's site..should do the trick.

routers are able to select different channels there are usually 12-13 channels.
sometimes if many routers are on the same channel they interfere with each other, selecting a channel that is free will provide stability and a little bit of range.
it is preferred that you keep 6 channels space between the channels in use.
so if your neighbor, is using channel 6 try to change your channel to 12 or 1.
but these days this is hard because wifi networks have become so common.
so it is almost impossible to stick to that 6 channel rule
try your best to find a clean channel and see how that helps. -
thank your for all the information and help, If I run WoW on low settings it works perfectly fine, but monitoring and benchmarking my gpu, i find no issues. If I were to run WoW on the settings I normally play on, the frame rates drop to an unplayable level. If it were my wireless being an issues, would it not affect my rates on low settings aswell?
edit: bc2 runs smooth as well, guess its now just an issue with my WoW...
