Unfortunately, I got stuck with the sub-par 1530 or whatever wireless card and I'm looking to purchase the Intel WiFi Link 5300 but Dell only sells it through its UK website. Also, on its UK website it charges a VAT so that makes me think that it's coming from the US so why is it not listed for sale on the US website?
I'd be willing to buy it from another website as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't go with the 5300. It is a worse version of the 6300 and was developed before the N standard was finalized... The 6300 is really cheap to buy on its own.
intell wireless 6300 - Google Product Search -
INTEL Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 Wireless Card, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, 11/54/450 Mbps, Internal PCIe Half Mini Card : AVADirect Custom Computer Component
Is that it?? I know I have to be super specific to know if it'll fit in my m15x -
Yes. as long as it is the half mini card it will fit perfect. When you unclip the old one it will spring up to a 45 degree angle, disconnect the three wires, and then clip the new one in and press it down... then reattach the 3 wires.

yes that will fit, contact baby hemi, he has a ton of them in stock and ready to go, at the incredible price of $39.99. man i should be a pitch man, lol

hey guys noob question here... just wondering what's the difference btwn the 5300 vs 6300?
-
The 5300 is draft-N, while the 6300 is N (basically, the 5300 was developed before 'N' was standardised).

the card that you have only have two antenna cables if I'm not wrong, but the 6300 and 5300 require three cables, which is the solution?
