Win 8.1 and DDUto

I ran DDU on my Daughter-in-Law's machine.

Got to the login screen and she could not remember her password (she used a pin).

So, can't login.

She reset her password for her Microsoft login. Still can't get into Win 8.1

I reset her password with http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Still can't get in. Any ideas???

Got in. Turns my inf mod worked fine. It was the stupid driver signing that was keeping me from installing the driver. Got around that and it's all good.

EDIT:
Win 8.1 is pretty funky. DDU did not work on this M15x. Not sure why but it would get stuck at the login screen when entering safe mode because we couldn't log in. In my opinion Win 7 is much better behaved in this regard. As far as the driver signing goes, I thought I had it permanently disabled. Finally I decided to disable it for that one reboot and everything worked. Before disable driver signing the driver would recognize the hardware and installed everything except the actual driver. If I hadn't been asleep at the wheel I would have figured this out a lot sooner. Got myself an education last night!
