I'm just curious... Which blu-ray software do you all use to play blu-rays? I have Power DVD 10 that my friend let me use and I am not pleased with it. Any suggestions, comments, or anything of the sort would be helpful!

I use PowerDVD 10 and it's great. I prefer it over ArcSoft's Total Media.

I have both PowerDVD 10 and ArcSoft TMT. There good, I seem to use the Arc one more because it does better 3d up converting and 3d blu-ray support.
Either way it'll play the movies so I don't really have much of a preference. -
I use WinDVD 2010. Haven't run into as much as a hiccup with the software, even with light multitasking. Probably played about 30 Blu-ray's using the software so far. Plays any Blu-ray I throw at it with ease. Even works well while running an extended desktop. I can run the software in full screen mode on the primary or secondary display without issue. Not sure about the other alternatives out there. I have yet to try out PowerDVD 10 or ArcSoft. My M15x came with PowerDVD 8 which I upgraded to PowerDVD 9 for free. From the very start I was experiencing all kinds of issues with the software. The software would frequently just close abruptly. Playback would frequently freeze, then resume after a series of slow frame flips. I basically couldn't get through one Blu-ray clean from start to finish. I was also having horrible audio sync problems with certain titles. That being said, I never gave PowerDVD 10 a try so please don't get me wrong. Just couldn't stomach the thought of paying for PowerDVD 10, only then to find (as my bad luck would have it) that all my issues were persisting. WinDVD 2010 happened to be on sale at the time when I was searching for alternatives. Decided to give it a try as I was always a big fan of WinDVD from back when InterVideo owned the product. The rest is history. Corel WinDVD 2010 works perfectly for me. Has never skipped a beat in any regard, so I've had no need to try out other products. That being said, I would like to give ArcSoft a try as it offers the ability to play a Blu-ray which has been saved locally on the hard drive. Folder support for WinDVD 2010 is limited to DVD's only.

For those using power DVD I don't know how you do it. I can never get a blu-ray to play clean from beginning to end without some hiccup or freeze with it. I'm gonna give WinDVD and ArcSoft a try then.
Thank you guys! -
I can say that I have never had any hiccups with ArcSoft.

yeh i use arcsoft as well.

I'm curious to know which you decide on, I didn't have much luck with PowerDVD either. I downloaded Arcsoft a few months ago but never got round to installing it.

I used arc soft for 25 minutes and fell in love. 100x smoother than power DVD and the audio settings are far superior than power DVD 10 ultra. It played Pinapple Express , Walle, and Iron Man w/o and feezing or hiccups.

I echo TitanGod... TMT is a much better overall player. The audio settings are great. On headphones you can hear the difference. TMT also seems to update the player often so any issues with movie playback are handled quickly. I got powerdvd 9 for free. I purchased TMT for 70 bucks because I like it that much. Best Wishes, StevenX
