Hi everyone. I previously had a Gforce GTX 260M and then I upgraded to the Dell FirePro 6100M
The computer started fine and then I tried to install the new drivers from AMD however I get an error. I downloaded the latest driver and then I also tried using their auto detector and I got the same error.
I tried uninstalling the Nvidia Drivers and then installing again and it still gave me the same errors. Has anyone dealt with this issue and was wondering how you solved it.
Thank you ahead.

Nevermind, somehow it managed to resolve itself after I tried running Windows Update. In case anyone encounters the same problem,

Hi,
Always use DDU in safe mode to wipe out any remnants of old driver before installing a new one, especially if you swap cards (Nvidia to AMD or AMD to Nvidia)... -
I bought a 6100 too
Downloaded latest drivers and got tons of errors
I had to trial and error loads to find one that would work
Now I'm always petrified incase it updates itself and I need to find the old one!
Which version of driver are you using? -
Hi, I just recently sold my firepro m6100 but I remember my card was performing well under this driver:
Revision Number
Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.1
Optional
File Size
479 MB
Release Date
4/2/2020
https://www.amd.com/en/support/prev...-radeon-hd-8000-series-oem/amd-radeon-hd-8950 -
Which is strange because that apparently is an issue with the driver which is installed..!?!? -
The installer wants a driver that supports openGL so it can show the installer.
Thats some catch-22 problem..
