For some reason I cant boot from any USB devices on my M15X running AO8.

It is available in the priority options in the BIOS however when I press F12 the devices never appear.

I have tried my USB stick in my M11X and it boots from it just fine.

Anyone else had this? I am trying to flash my GPU and as far as im aware it must be done this way.

i am unaware of any issue with A08 bios and booting from usb devices, but having said that. its always best to run the latest bios version. to my knowledge thats A09 bios. give that a shot and see if usb devices are able to boot, and see if they show in the boot order process.
just to note if you are using a usb pen device not all are ready bootable. and need to be reformated in a certain way to become bootable. they are many tools out there that can and will do this but if come across such a usb pen device i just pop along to Bootdisk.Com a great source for info.

Does anyone have any other ideas on a work around. Im regretting swapping out my optical for a 2nd HDD :(

I cant find any info via google of this issue. My USBs just are not recognised at boot. They all work fine though. The USB devices (stick and dvd drive) are both 100% bootable.

Do you have USB emulation Enabled in the BIOS? Have you tried with all ports?. Why not giving it a try with the e-sata :)?

I really must apologies. Massive noobish mistake on my part. Misread my BIOS advanced screen. USB emulation was disabled when I just checked again. I must have changed it by mistake some time..?

Thanks for all your help guys. Reps around :)
