Hi. trying to figure out how to turn on my Bluetooth on my m15x. I recently updated to windows 8. Alienware support won't help me because my laptop originally came with win7. Any help would be appreciated.

First make sure that the driver installed correctly and the Bluetooth module isn't disabled in the BIOS.
Go to Settings, in the charms bar > Change PC settings > In the list on the left, find and click on Wireless > here you should find the Bluetooth toggle. -

To get Bluetooth for the M15x running on Windows 8, install this driver (Dell Wireless 380 Bluetooth Driver - Driver Details | Dell US) and, after that is done (maybe reboot in between these two steps) install the Widcomm Bluetooth Software Update ( Bluetooth Software Download | Broadcom).
Even though the card inside our computers is a 370, the 380 driver will work just fine. These two driver packages are what allowed me to get Bluetooth working perfectly on the M15x on Windows 8.1 -
Thanks for all the help. I'm passing this info along to my son, and will report back on his progress. It seems to be a windows 8 issue, since his Bluetooth worked fine when he had win7 installed.
