Hi all I've had my Alienware m15x for about a year and a half now with problems every now and then, most of which I have been able to fix...until now.
Starting a couple of days ago when I started up a game I received extremely low fps (~4fps, where normally i would get ~40 in the same game). So I started investigating and realized that the fans were running slower than usual. I found a program and with it was able to manually ramp up the fan speeds but still received the same slow fps. So now after doing some further investigation online I am assuming the computer is some how stuck in stealth mode. (based on the following thread:: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/323530-question-about-stealth-mode.html
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Ok fixed!
So a couple of days ago i remember seeing a warning at start up saying I had an improper AC adapter. It's weird that i recieved this message since although I am not using the adapter that shipped with the computer, I have been using my current one for months.
So at start up I went into bios and turned off the warnings for using improper AC adapters...and viola fans working again and fps is great as usual. -
