yeah i can't decide which one to get as they're about the same price.

i like the usb one because it's extra portable, however that black box looks fantastic, and i assume it has co-axle out.

    how's the dolby 3d headphone?
    any good?

Its equivalent to the astro's, good on some headphones not so good on others.

I got one of these around xmas when i got my m15x, it really does make a difference to games that make use of virtual surround. Infact even playing music sounds better with the creative labs software.
When i want to again use laptop speakers i just pull the usb dongle out and back to as it was. Not noticed an dips in performance from using it aswell.
Its a shame the dell didnt somehow get onboard x-fi chip, would it even been possible?

I have seen prior laptops with creative cards but they're unfortunately rare. Most likely due to licensing issues and the fact that intel gave their own sound chipset now.

Somewhere in this forum, if im not mistaken, had made a mob for usb broadband. The guy took apart his usb broadband modem and integrated into the motherboard and concealed it into the casing. I mean, if that can be done, then you have the sound card inside. Just my thoughts.
