So recently, some keys (c,v,h and some other keys) frequently stops working until I restart the pc and it has been bugging me as it gets quite annoying at times and i have no idea why this is happening.

Any ideas why this is happening?

First two things that come to mind are: Blow out the keyboard with a can of air and check the ribbon connection.

I have same issue (same keys c,v,h) in Firefox and sometimes when using mIRC, I have to restart the program and the keys work again, don't know what exactly causes this. I don't use Office 2010, but I have Office 2007 installed. There is no office plugin being used in my browser.

The keys in question only don't work within Firefox/mIRC when they decide to stop working, but work fine in other programs running at the same time (like I can open notepad and type c,v,h fine while its not working in FF/mIRC)

For me, the problem is not solved if I restar the programs.
Try going to the Search field on the Windows Start Menu.

When the CVH doesn't work, even if I restart the programs the Search field doesn't recognize the CVH.

I don't know if tis is a [oin[iden[e, but just now wen i started mIRC te keys stopped working.
Upon [losing te pro[ess, key funtionality did not return.
    ---
    Edit:
Originally the cvh keys stopped working in chrome, but worked in the start menu + search
Closing mIRC did not fix the issue. Input stopped working in the start menu after closing chrome.
Control+Alt+Delete fixed the issue. In the Control+Alt+Delete dialog, alt+c, which is " Change a Password" responded properly (note the use of the C key)

When the keys aren't functioning, they WILL function if you press Shift. If you press capslock+shift, you can get lowercase c too...

When I ran mIRC, the start menu froze, allowing me to click the mIRC-launching icon a few times.

I just started mirc again, and the problem did not replicate.

In the past, this error has occurred to me, even in applications like League of Legends, which (likely?) use DirectInput as opposed to the windows message pump for input.

Are you using a non-English Windows and an English keyboard layout?

The only solution I found, is go to the Keyboard settings (in the Control Panel) and try to move something and then Apply as it was.
The keys gets back to work.

Here are a list of possible solutions.
Keyboard input ignored for c, h, t, and v keys in specific applications only | A High-Tech Blech!
    Works for me!

    1. A double-tap of the Windows (or Super) key.
    2. A double-tap of specifically the right Super key.
    3. Restart the effected application (or Explorer if effected)
    4. Reboot (last resort).
    5. “Detect and Repair” from the Help menu in Outlook (Outlook only)
    6. Press CapsLock and Shift back down to lower case (per letter fix)
    7. Fn key and Super key may toggle problem on and off.
    8. Region and Language —> Keyboards and Languages —> change keyboards; delete all keyboards other than your language and delete all instances of “Ink Correction”.
    9. Disable Sticky Keys (Control Panel —> Ease of Access Center —> Make the keyboard easier to use —> Make it easier to type —> uncheck “Turn on Sticky Keys“;)

Ive had this issue on and off. Usually after gaming. I have an Alienware M15x. The way to fix it is to press Fn+[windows key]. That does the trick for me. I hope this helps!
