Hey guys, just thought I'd share with you a neat little adapter I just picked up on evil bay. It is a right angle power adapter that works with the M15x. I never liked the way the stock adapter just hung from the side of the laptop. The new adapter allows the power cable to rest on my table, thus eliminating the stress it puts on the power jack since its weight is now mostly on my desk. It also makes things neater looking and just plain better.

Dude, your a genious...
What other "add-ons" you got on your laptop? -
picking one up because I was just thinking about this the other day.

Im disappointed that the AC plug and at least 1 USB isnt located in the back of the computer instead of the left side
-
I've gotta get one of those.
-
this is just what iv'e been looking for nice find!
-
Too bad, the seller doesn't ship to Argentina
-
Wow thanks for pointing this out! I DJ and in most booths, I have very little room for the cable to be sticking out as far as it does. I'm ordering this now or tomorrow haha
-
This is an excellent idea! The power port on the M15x is in a terrible location and always seems to be getting in my way. Definitely going to have to get one of these.

Does not deliver to my location, was directed by the seller to this site for purchase: LC90 - Right Angle 90 Degree Connector Converter for Dell and HP Laptop Power Adapters

Kosti, I've been on a hunt for one of these since forever , ending up finding a few (described with the same diameter) at a local shop but they felt too loose. How's this one? Is it a tight connection?
Thanks -
Yes, it fits like a glove. There's a little bit of play when moving it up and down but the stock plug actually had more play so this one is essentially a more solid fit. Now, since the power cable is resting on the desk, there's a lot less pressure on the power jack so it may help for the longevity of the jack, and that's pretty important since it's soldered on to the motherboard.
Edit: I should point out that my M15x is sitting at the left end of my coffee table most of the time, so before the adapter, the power cable was mostly in the air when plugged in. The adapter lets it rest on the table. -

Thanks, man, that was the reason i've been wanting one so much but as i said they were all a little loose(more than the cord's plug) so i said it's not worth it.
I'll give these a try
Also we (some m17x users) would've liked the plug on the left/right side while you guys on the back believe me sometimes when you want to lift it towards the back it's a real PITA. -
Yeah I've bought one, I'll tell you guys on how it is...
-
I'd find that very useful, but how safe is to use it?
if it has poor build quality couldn't cause an issue, like a fried notebook after an electrical surge, or something similar? -
This will not fry your notebook. It is just an adapter. There are no active components in it. But if anyone is hesitant about using one, then don't.
