I just wonder... how will you get past the UEFI bios requirement issue? I bought a HD8970m, but encountered my second UEFI enabled card - thus outta luck on m15x As far as I know, the 9xxm will only be offered in UEFI versions - and unless some of you guys can rewrite a bios, it doesnt seem possible...

I had an 8970m in my m15x. Want the vbios? Saying something isn't possible without properly exhausting options seems shortsighted. The game will soon be a foot my friend!

SVL 7 already posted gpuz screenshots of both the 970m and 980m working on the m15x.
8970m works fine. Or at least several users have made the upgrade! -
Well I'm very glad to hear that this is actually possible and I stand corrected!
Now if someone would write the exact steps of what to do, to make it possible to run a small demon like that in a M15x I will surely go for one (maybe even 980m). Also, where to buy a card from - as it seems we have corrupt sellers all over the world and the process of RMA'ing things over 2-3 months has kind of given me long balls...King of Interns likes this. -
I started a thread about it. All the info is in there.
