just now my M15x got an MCE BSOD.....btw my laptop crashes very frequently 2 to 3 times in 48hrs or so......most probably due to nvldkkm.sys Bsod ...but
this was the first time i have seen MCE BSOD
Machine Check Exception - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.....
any help would be great i want to know is wrong with my laptop and have a word to dell corp about the issues!!!
-
Seems your 260m is dying, I had the same problem when I had this card, call Dell and get it replaced.
-
but i got it replaced a week ago!!!??
actually its a new one !! -
Omg, I had exactly the same problem... always driver crashing, weird screens, BSODs... then I called, next day I had the new 260m in my machine and everything was perfect, no BSODs, weird colored screens or whatever, for the first time in a long while.. but only for a week, then everything started again.
I called them again but they didn't send me a new card again, they said it must be a different problem and I'd need to send the laptop in for further examination... which I didn't like to do.
So I bought a 5850 from ArchNemesis and since then no BSOD anymore
You're most probably experiencing exactly the same... I bet it's the 260m. -
oh. yeah!!!!
now i got it this 260M suckx!!
maybe i must also get an AMD vision...

help asap!! -
That is rgb color not rgb led......
rgb color is the color of the lcd, which is standard for almost all screens.
rgb led is the backlighting of the lcd.
It is not the same thing -
ohh...sorry i didn't know this one ....
can you tell me where to check for the type of LED? -
Go to Dells website and click on support.
Log in with your service tag on warranty information.
Now click on the tab configuration. All your specs will be shown in your browser window. -
..I wish M15x had a RGB LED
But I liked this 1080p screen as well until I saw a 1900*1200 RGB LED on a M17x... It was bloody awesome and I hate this screen compared to that. Too bad there is no option for this screen on M18x. Dell, what's up with that?
MCE...help asap!
