M15x Order Status Discussion

Just revived my second M15x after returning my original order. I live in Jersey and the product arrived in 8 Days from initial order with regular 7 day ground shipping. My previous system came in 10 Days with 7 day ground. So for anyone in the process of ordering a new customized system and your in the northeast your looking at around 8-10 days not the 20+ they predict.

 

I live in Jersey as well and I ordered a M15x on 8/3 and it is still listed as in production. So while it may get here before 8/20 (as Dell is currently showing), it will almost definitely take more then 10 days from the day I ordered at this point.

 

I live in the UK and ordered yesterday, I'll make a thread when it arrives and stuff . I live in the South-East in case anyone cares lol. Dell have predicted the 24th August for the delivery date, however I am expecting it to arrive sooner.

 

I live in Churchill Manitoba (Canada).... I ordered it on July 22nd and it arrived on Augest 6th! Thats 4 days before the EDD and I live in the middle of no where! Took a week to go from "In Production" to "Shipped".

Check this thread. I've logged every single change in my delivery status since I ordered it, I believe it will help most of you to understand how long each stage takes and the difference between "real" and online status.

 

Sweet, mine changed to "In Production" after one day .

 

I ordered mine 08/04/10 and my EDD is the 23rd. I'm hoping it'll arrive on the 20th or before so I can cut it loose over the weekend. I'm in Canada btw

 

Ordered mine on the 9th with an expected delivery date of the 24th.

Listed as in production at the moment.

I ordered mine on the 9th, too, and am also expecting it on the 24th . Mine is also in the production stage, lmao. It would be awesome if we both received our machines on the same day .

 

Hopefully they will although if you get yours first I will not be happy!

I think we got the best specs for the price when buying an M15X, however I may upgrade the processor a year or so down the road. I got the BluRay because I love the quality of BluRay DVDs, they look awesome, you can totally see a massive difference.

I originally had some issues with the payment process and my bank so after a brief talk with one of the sales reps he prioritised the order.

Noticed it went into production fairly quickly then.

Im sure a quick call could probably sort you out.

 

Ordered mine last night at around 11:30pm. It's in production as of this morning. Estimated ship date is the 23rd and EDD is the 31st. This is living in New Jersey with 7 day gound shipping.

congrats. I would have swapped the 1080p(to the lower res one) screen for a 5850.

 

It depends, he could upgrade in the future if he wanted to.

 

Yea I don't play many games, only SCII right now, and I figured it would be a lot easier to swap a video card in year or so compared to replacing a screen.

What are your first impressions?

 

The trippy thing is mine is actually cosmic black. I thought I selected silver but when I tracked my order it was cosmic black. So exact same builds secretly I was second guessing my decision to get silver cause I saw some really nice pics of the black. Plus I think it'll match all my other tech better than silver. Worked out nicely.

 

looking at your sig ... i think we have the same set up ... how much did it cost you? did you haggle enough with the sales rep for discounts and for service warranty?

Ordered on 3rd August. EDD was 18th August.
Changed to shipped on the weekend, 7th.
Arrived on 12th August.

 

I hope mine comes in 9 days, that'd be sweet.

 

For mine I got it on sale. What was supposed to be 2200$ was 1900$ so like 13-14% discount. I was mentally prepared to haggle (hoping for 10% off since Canadian reps aren't as flexible) but ya then the exact config I have been building went on for 300$ off so I rushed my plans to buy it. I just went with the standard warranty but was debating the advanced care. Instead I got the Logitech performance MX mouse, logitech K350 keyboard (both logitech items use 1 tiny USB receiver is why I like them), alienware tactx headset and of course Starcraft 2 (on truck for delivery today ). All in all I got 300$ off the computer and 90$ off the extra goodies which I'm pretty happy with.

Walsh Western doesnt actually send it, UPS does. So that WW tracking will never actually work (atleast it didnt for me).

You might get an email from UPS with a tracking code that actually works or you could ask dell.

Eitherway, they'll reach your home in about 4-5 days.

 

I dont remember how long it took mine to get here, but I know dell has a facility in Nashville, TN that they ship from and I only live couple hours from Nashville, so mine came really quickly.

 

The e-mail on mine says it should arrive on the 19th . Where can you view the UPS tracking stuff on their site? It doesn't give me an EDD.

Hmm,, if im correct on mail u receive the link at bottom with track info. But it say it may take some time before u can see tracking info.. Lol wont surprise me u get it before it show on UPS site
