    M15x 6970m not clocking in game, driver issue?

    Hi I just did a clean install, and it was working fine with games running and everything. Suddenly the gpu isn't clocking anymore in game. I'm using the mobility 12.6 drivers after upgrading from 11.7b. Stealth mode isn't on. When I open something like HTML5 Fish Bowl it jump starts the gpu like jump starting a car and allows me to play whilst the fishbowl is on. This stumps all the computer knowledge I own. What's going on?
