I have an Alienware M15x which is around 3 yrs old.
The battery is plugged in, but I am receiving a message as "Plugged in and not charging".
I ran HWMonitor to see the battery condition and it shows 100% Wear Level and Charge Level -2147483648.
Current capacity 1mWh.
Does that mean the battery is dead and I need to replace it?

Thanks.
Most of the time, the laptop is plugged in, I don't remember when was the last time the laptop ran on battery.
So wanted to clarify whether leaving a dead battery would have an adverse impact on the performance of the laptop or the life of the components? -

Current capacity 1mWh,Designed Capacity 57720mWh
Does that mean the battery is dead and I need to replace it? or just change my AC Adapter -
mine says :
Designed Capacity: 57720 mWh
Full Charged Capacity: 47752 mWh
Wear Level: 17.3 %
so yea it looks like 1mWh is equivalent to dead
