I've had this problem ever since I got my M15x back in January of 2010, but it has never really bothered me that much. Anyways, when I start up my laptop, or I resume from hibernation, the computer makes a loud beep and gives me some messege about how I have the wrong power adapter. I know it's the right one because it the one that came with the laptop straight from Dell. I don't really mind that though. What I do mind is the terrifyingly loud beep when it happens, it's louder than anything my computer sounds like on full volume. Muting the computer before it happens doesn't make a difference. It doesn't make the sound if I unplug it beforehand fortunetely. (I presume because it doesn't think I have the wrong power cable.) Is there anyway to stop this other than just booting up on battery power and not AC?

next time when booting up. press f2 when the alienhead appears. that will take you into the bios. in the bios there is an option to turn off the power adapter warning.
