Just did a fresh install of windows and found that AlienSense was gone. I've heard rumors that dell decided to remove AlienSense from all new Alienwares, but I think even if this is true, it should not affect old models like my M15x.
Or is there anything that I just did wrong or overlooked?

If you installed the latest command center from DELL.com it will probably have that feature removed. You can go to the m15x drivers section and look under applications for the command center and then select previous versions. Make sure that you don't use the one on the resource disc or the 1st one listed there because it might downgrade the firmware and cause a problem with the lights functionality. Try the version that you had before.

    There're only 3 versions listed there: A07, A06 and A03.
I've tried the A06 version and it too don't have AlienSense.
The oldest version on dell's site is A03(dating back as far as July 2009) with a significantly smaller file size(35MB vs 50+MB for later versions), but I don't know if it is safe to install this version?
