    HELP. 5870 upgrade issue

    I have an m15x with a 260m card in it and wanted to upgrade to the 5870m. Upon installing I was met with what seems to be a common color distortion problem. I proceeded to update my bios version to a09 and my 5870 vbios to a00. Most users said this solved the problem. However now when i start my pc up the video has a purplish hue to it and i can see some green screen tearing at times. Is this card bad? I have a hard time believing a guy with 100% positive feedback on 4000+ sales would sell me a faulty card. Also this slight color hue and other distortion is visible while booting not just in windows.
