For $220, you will not be able to get an nVidia card worth purchasing if you are looking for something of that spec. I would suggest you save up a bit of money and get the 7970M. The 7970M is easy to install, provided you buy the right version. It's pretty much plug and play if you buy the version designed for dell/alienware. The MSI/Clevo models you will run into issues on. You may have to flash the video cards bios to get anything to display on those versions, Overheating issues only happen when the thermal paste is not installed correctly or if there is not proper contact with the GPU die and the heatsink. Once you install the 7970M, you can install a video card bios to make it run at a lower voltage, (0.975V) which in turn will allow it to run cooler. If you have any more questions on this, let us know.
As for the CPU you can go with the 920XM to save some money. The highest you can go is the Core i7-940XM, but that will be around $400-500 on ebay versus the 920XM being around $160-250. There is only a 100-200Mhz speed difference.
Thermal paste you should stick with IC Diamond 24.
As far as a PSU is concerned, try the 210w, 240W or 330W (330W is electronically limited to 240W unless you or someone you know has soldiering skill) PSU's. Do NOT get the 230W, it is not compatible with the M15x. I would personally go with the 240W+ PSU's, especially if you plan on overclocking the CPU/GPU.(which would honestly be a waste if you buy the 920XM/7970M combo)
The 150W PSU will be fine, so long as you don't plan on overclocking the CPU/GPU. But, IF you plan on overclocking the combo, (which would be really smart if you get the 920XM/7970M combo) I would highly suggest you get a stronger PSU. 210W being minimum 240+ being recommended. This is so that your system is being supplied enough power to handle the beast!. (If there is not enough power, the system will either shut off, or "Throttle" (slow down) to compensate for the lack of power.)
Hope this helps. -

For you to play a game with those requirements, you will need to get the 920XM chip and oc it to at least 3.2Ghz+ and you can also undervolt the 7970M to have it run cooler, so you can OC that sucker too. Your current CPU will be too slow to run most current games to it'ts potential. My 920XM can hit almost the i7-3720QM speeds.. -
Also I am thinking that this might work how do you think of purchasing this card to keep my Budget,,,,Do you think will work ok!!!. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251617275461#description -

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M N13E GS1 LP A1 MXM 3 0 DDR5 1 5GB Laptop Videocard | eBay
Hope I did the right purchase at a good price....I keep the Budget and buy CPU 920 Upgrade, the New 240AC to power the laptop AND GPU For $380. :hi2::thumbsup: -
as was the performance of dead rising 3 upgrading? -
The cpu does very little for most video games. It can throttle a video card but your problem is very clearly the 6990m it is a little less powerful than a 580m and that is extremely overshadowed by the 7970m/680m. You can spend around 200 dollars and get a I7 920XM and you can buy a 680m or a 8970m and they are pretty much plug and play in the m15x. I just replaced my 8970m with a 970m and if you would like I'll give you a good deal on it. But a cpu upgrade would do next to nothing for your performance you need a new graphics card.

Upgrade to gtx 970m ,bottleneck gtx 970m, leave it slower as with the GX60 which has a amd processor.. -
I don't own the game. but my average fps on assassin's creed unity is 45 and that's at high settings. a 970m will run that game and not break a sweat. Same for my 8970m. I'm not sure if you are asking a question. Your English is pretty broken
