    HD specs?

    I cannot find the specs for the HD bay on the Alienware M15x. I just ordered one and plan on upgrading it to a larger HD or possibly an SSD. I checked the manuals on Dell's site and searched on many pages on here.

    What is the interface? Also what SSD drives did some of you who upgraded get?

    THe interface is sata. Most modern drives are so you'll be fine. It must be 2.5 and not 3.5 or 1.8 inches. I have a Crucial C300 in my sig. Quite pricey as it is of the larger sizes in the SSD kingdom. Intel G2's are good. Any SSD will boost your speeds a decent bit.

    Is the motherboard capable of SATA III or is it only SATA II?

    There are only SATA II ports on the board, however SATA III SSDs will work, but of course only at SATA II speeds.
