Hi all, I am convinced the reason my gpu is underperforming is down to the driver installed
Question is, where do I get some to try out??
Have spent about 2 hours on google and every one I try says "your hardware doesnt match!!"
The drivers off nvidia says it supports the 200 series, mine but when download it it scans and says my hardware isnt compatible, why is that?
Had a look on laptopvideo site but looks like downloads have expired
I am CONVINCED my gpu can do what I need it to physically but the problem is the driver
Please help
Thanks

Is the GPU even being detected on Device Manager?
If you are running Win 10 press Win+X then open device manager, it must be listed under Graphics cards.
If its not, its most likely toast given its age.
This is the latest driver made for your card:
https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/driverResults.aspx/112734/en-uk
Its normal that the game/system isn't picking your GPU, given that even the driver is from 2016 and it wont work with the latest Win 10 updates, heck, it might not even work all that well even with Windows 7 most likely. -
Hey thanks for your reply
Its win7 I am using, does that affect anything??
System recognises it yeah
My issue is it is not a graphically intensive game I play, football manager 2020 and the min specs for that show a graphics card which is WAY less rated than the gt 260m that I have, but it is performing so poorly and I dont know why
- Memory:2 GB.
- Graphics Card:ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650.
- CPU:Intel Pentium 4 2.40GHz.
- Football Manager 2020 File Size:7 GB.
- OS:Windows 7 (SP1), 8/8.1, 10 (Update 1803/April 2018 or later) – 64-bit.

It might be related to your current system temps, please post only on one thread, so all the info is together.
