Hi
Just noticed that whilst browsing the web im getting wierd glitches all across the taskbar. When i hover over them with the mouse they bugger off. Mostly happens around the time and date area where core temp runs.
Had a quick look around the forums but didn't come across anything to help. So do you guys rekon i should just re-install my GPU drivers (running 266.58) to sort it out?
Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity in Alien Touch?
-
aha, and i thought i was alone there.
it's the graphic's driver problem. you need to reinstall your driver. well that's what i do when this happens. -
what kind of glitches? what do they look like?
-
they just look distorted. Like a black matrix code over icons that flicker all the time untill i move my mouse over them! Wierd. Im going to re-install grpahic drivers inabit. Cheers lads
-
just re-installed graphics driver. All seems well for now. Will see if it happens later on.
-
still happening. Even after a re-install of drivers.
Might try a different driver. It's never always been this way.
Oh well... -
try installing a previous version of the drivers.
If it works, you might have to stick to those until a new version comes out.
How is your GPU handling games? -
This happened when I was using non Dell drivers. Did you get yours from Laptopvideo2go? Use Dell's official driver's, you'll see a lot less hassle. Ever since I went back to official drivers I haven't had this problem. Hope this helps

I see this happen once in a blue moon, I've seen it happen on several different machines.
It's a bug that I can live with, since it happens so rarely to me, but if it were to happen once a day I'd start getting annoyed.
I suggest doing a system restore to a time when you know it didn't happen, see if you can get rid of it that way.
System restore is often overlooked to resolve issues like these....... -
ah good ol'system restore lol
Didn't think of that. Off to work, so i'll try in the morning.
Cheers.
