So my computer has worked fine since I got it and I would get 60fps in all my games and it was great. A few days ago instead of 60fps I started getting 20, sometimes lower. Im not sure what is going on, but I checked the drivers on my gpu and its old so I am hoping that a new driver will fix the problem. I have the ATI Radeon HD 5730 but it wont install the new driver correctly. GPU seems to be working because the fan for it is running but I have no other indications.
Im not sure what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Have you toggled stealth mode? It helps as sometimes it just locks up. Also have you messed with anything in the bios? Usually, people go in and turn off Speedstep as they are mislead into thinking it would increase performance, this isn't really the case.

I have not touched the Bios and it is the most updated version which is A09.. I will try toggling stealth mode and see how that works. I have never used stealth mode though.

Now install the latest driver and you get another jump on performance.

Try the 11.8 preview, here: AMD Catalyst 11.8 Preview Driver download from Guru3D.com

Should i go for 11.8 with the link you suggested? I was just able to upgrade to 11.7 from here ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver which is exactly what i was trying to download earlier except i got to this page a different way earlier. same page though. I dont know why it was different but it is.

11.7 is fine as well, that's the latest official release and should have less issues than 11.8.

I hate stealth mode lol.
