If you have ever installed Motion Joy software to use a PS3 controller on your laptop, it could be part of your problem. For me, I had motion Joy installed and my Bluetooth randomly stopped working. To fix it, I finally had to uninstall and delete all Motion Joy drivers from my system following the uninstall instructions on the Motion Joy Wiki. I then had to reflash the 370 bluetooth mini-card firmware, and finally reinstall the drivers. Now all is working well.
My bluetooth device was on, I could see it with my phone if I searched for Bluetooth devices. The device showed up in the bios but did not show up anywhere at all in Windows. Not under Control panel or device manager. Any time I tried to re-install drivers, it failed saying "turn on bluetooth device with switch." It also failed with, "no bluetooth device detected."
Motion Joy is difficult to uninstall, you must follow the directions on the wiki exactly or it will continue to keep you bluetooth device F*@KED!
The controller worked fine with Motion Joy for a while but then it just totally went to crap and screwed up my bluetooth. I hope this can help someone else who installed Motion Joy and later lost bluetooth functionality.

Good Stuff! +1 Rep. For the folks watching this thread if you need to get to the Main drivers section to get the Bluetooth driver, here's the link.

I had this problem also, so I just switched to a 360 controller. If you REALLY want bluetooth, you can turn off the 370 bluetooth, install a bluetooth dongle, and then sync the controller to the dongle. It won't mess with the bluetooth card if you do it that way, you just have to use the same USB port every time you want to play with bluetooth.
