Hi there,
I was not impressed with the alienware's default OSD icons. So i made a custom icon set. This took me a while to finish but the end result is great. I tried to make it background transparent but not supported with BMP and no .png support as well. So, came up with a cool one. Take a look at the preview.
That's great looking and better than default eh ? This doesn't take any resources, just like the default one.
So if you guys like it go ahead and Download Here and post your thoughts.
Rep + thanks appreciated
Hope you guys like it.

Looks great from your preview, only problem is the file is set to PRIVATE on mediafire meaning I can't download it.
Well done though. -
This file is currently set to private.
Hope you make it public.

The only thing I would suggest... a smoth/gradient borders.
Something like smother borders on each picture. -
Great work!

tyvm
+rep indeed -
Call me paranoid but, you've only made a mere 40 posts and you expect someone to download your file?
Can someone confirm that these files are safe? -
yes its safe
it only replaces image files contained within the alienware OSD program
i would recommend backing up your icon folder prior to installing this so you can revert the changes back to its original state.
-
I'm not forcing you or anyone to download it. Just if you like it in the preview you can download it. It is just replacing the images .BMP. You have no idea how much time it took me to create these. and no worries, there's always a paranoid expected when you give something free
Readme file tells it how to install, but thanks for clearing it up for me
Yes, It'd be great if .png background transparent supported. -

For some reason i can't seem to find the folder specified on my alienware m11x r2.. anyone got any suggestions?
-
+rep, these icon's are awesome!
-
+rep, thanks!
-
Hm, I can't find the file location on Program Files/OSD/ on my m14x either. =(
-
That's because the sandy bridge Alienwares use a different software implementation as the icons are in embedded in the exe.

+rep anyway for awesome work -
Replacing the existing icons in the stock executable is fairly easy. It's how I did the custom Fallout OSD for the M11xR2. See the link in my sig for details. If no one in the M14x community is up to it I suppose I can do it this weekend. Considering using these for an M11x OSD package anyway.
EDIT: +1 for a slick looking icon set! -
Cool! Thx! +rep

Thanks, glad you guys like it.
