    Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone happens to know how well brink will run on a M15x mine is , i7 740qm, 8gb and a 5850 , i jut signed up to a games debate website which tells you what games your pc will run and apparently it wont run at all on a 5850 does anyone know id this is true or not ? would love to know as i really want this game for my laptop, thanks in advance :)

    runs fine for me.... but i wont recommend it.... im not playing it anymore ill probably give it to my lil bro.....

    I'm actually having problems running Brink with my m15x, ATI 5850m, 4 gb ram, and a 720qm. I've tried all different versions of drivers (11.4, 11.5, 11.5a), but my framerate hovers anywhere from 10-60 (mostly 15-25). And before you ask, yes stealth mode is off :).

    Did you check Stelth-Stelth mode too? :rolleyes:

    What settings are you running at? If your are bare minimum low and running 1080P resolution, than perhaps resolution or your systems settings needs to be tweaked.

    r_shadows 0, textures set to low, shadows medium, everything else off. Res is 1600x900. It runs fine sometimes, but I will go around a corner and the framerate will plummet from the 50s to the 20s and stay there. It doesn't only happen in open areas either.

    I don't know how it will run, but the game isn't very good imo.

    I've been having the same problem, the one with the shoddy framerates... What a disappointment.

    That's sort of strange to me. I used to run Brink with anywhere between 75-120fps on average on my m15x with the GTX 460m. Now since the last few updates, I think a cap was implemented because now it usually stays at a solid 60.

    It is said that the bad performance comes from either Ati's new driver or the game's code itself. Spash damage has noted this and is making "some" DLCs to fix this. If you want to play so badly, reverse to driver 11.3 (that's what others said, i'm not going to do this) or wait for others DLCs to come
