This probably isn't an M15x specific issue but recently I've been getting lag in my audio. I'll be listening to a song through itunes or watching a video on youtube and the sound will at random points slow down and get distorted. The mouse pointer will slow down too and it'll last around a second and then go back to normal. I can't think of anything I've changed recently that would bring this on and it's quite annoying.

Are you using McAfee? Coz im having the same issue.
What i did is i got the cpu monitor widget which have graph showing the cpu usage. Whenever it happens there will be a spike to the highest (All CPU 100%) which causes the lag/distortion.
Then i opened up the task bar, while a video running in the background, i waited for it then i caught McAfee taking all the resources a short while. But its my guessing too. I also noticed it happens less now with the updates. -
Yea I have a form of Macafee, I had assumed it probably had something to do with it as it often does. More trouble than it's worth, but I get it for free.
My girlfriend gets it too and she has a different form of macafee. (They're both up-to-date versions but both are various "in association with Macafee" rather than full off the shelve versions). -
I got it for free too. but as soon it expires, probably change it to avg or others. The best according to some here is windows defender.
Anyone encountered audio lag?
