Does anyone know where I could possibly purchase a depleted one? Or maybe even a new one? I saw that JLN Laptop parts has one for sale, but I rather not risk purchasing one from them due to what I have read on these forums and the fact that they do not use PayPal.

I am ok with a depleted 9-cell as I want it more for the lift the battery gives rather than any type of "portability" it may provide.

Keep an eye on parts-people.com. Maybe put your e-mail address in their notify list for the 9 cell if they ever get one back in stock.

These packs were never made by 3rd parties so the only ones you'll find are new old stock or used, and when li-ion cells sit around for a long time they tend to go bad.

Anyway, if you want to simply lift the laptop you can always get something like those suction cup things. Just search for laptop cool feet.

Or you can use rubber furniture or appliance feet available at most hardware stores. Even those rubber adhesive door stops should work well.
