try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, check if the wifi actually has internet available within the network, Also check for the connection, if its at 1 or 2 bars then it could be the reason why. Also is there a password on it?

Maybe is a defective wireless card, maybe bad antenna in the new screen, but try to turn off and then turn on your router first. The first day I got my M11x I had an odd problem like yours: I could see the wifi connection in my laptop, it had good signal, but I couldn't join in... Well, odd problems sometimes demand odd solutions, so I just turn off and then turn on the wireless router... It worked, and I never had the problem again.

I just tweaked the driver settings (under the advanced tab) to enable afterburner, and a few other settings I thought made sense. Overall, I get much faster speeds (though Surewest DID just give us a free bump from 3mbits to 10mbits :p).

Open up the bottom cover, its really simple and not too advanced.... you'll see a black and white wire that runs along the battery and to the wificard make sure they are connected to the right terminals (there are black and white arrows indicating which goes where)
