I was wondering if anyone had run into this problem. My computer has slowed down considerably since installing windows 8. I have a omentus XT 750 and 8 gigs of ram installed. The diagnostics for the computer say I am not using that much ram or processor but now even things like playing a youtube video slow down the computer. I noticed after the upgrade to windows 8 that games like Black Mesa were slowing down. now chrome appears slower and programs open slower. Would the wider community be able to offer any help?

Thank you for the help and time.

Are you using ThrottleStop? It might help a bit.

Weird, are you sure you are running the games with the nVidia and not the intel card?

yes I am running the games with the nvidia card. my big concern is that normal operations on my computer are harder to performer now. watching a youtube video, watching a video from my hard drive. editing video. these all take longer now

It could be that the PC requires more resources to run Windows 8 than 7. It could be then a good idea to get back to it.
